Eulogy Example for a Father

My father taught me that love is often found in the small, steady things: showing up early, fixing what was broken, making sure everyone got home safely, and asking if we had eaten even when he was the one who needed care.

He was not someone who needed the spotlight. He showed his love through action. He worked hard, kept his promises, and gave more than he asked for in return. When I think of him, I think of his hands, his laugh, and the way he made ordinary days feel secure.

There are so many stories I could tell, but the thread through all of them is the same. He made people feel protected. He gave advice when we needed it, space when we did not, and support even when we were too proud to ask.

Dad, thank you for the life you built around us. Thank you for your patience, your humor, your quiet strength, and your example. We will miss you deeply, and we will carry you with us in the way we love, work, forgive, and keep showing up for one another.
